PVmed, founded in May 2017, is a pioneer in medical artificial intelligence and has been leading the field of AI-enhanced auxiliary diagnosis and treatment based on medical imaging across the globe.
PVmed’s main business is to develop and sell auxiliary diagnosis and treatment software with IT services provided, offering solutions for multi-disease and multi-modal diagnosis. Our products are all self-developed, and many technologies are at an international or domestic leading level, with more than 50 domestic patents and 20 software copyrights. Among them, the intelligent radiotherapy system for NPC auto-contouring has reached the next level and changed the industry. In addition, medical image processing system, pulmonary nodule diagnostic system, ribs-subtraction medical image reading system, and intelligent assistance surgery systems are well-developed and in the process of clinical trials and marketing. Several products have been practically used for trials in several leading hospitals in China.
PVmed has also achieved impressive results in numerous domestic and international industry competitions: Gold Award and Innovation Achievement Award of The 5th “Intel Cup” Parallel Application Challenge - PAC2017, GMIC 2017 G-Startup Gold Award of G-Startup Worldwide (Hong Kong), Selected by 2018 Kapok program of Guangzhou Official, Two first-prize awards in 2019 CSTRO AI Contouring Contest, Certificate of Guangdong Hi-Tech Enterprise.
Professor Lu Yao, the founder and President of PVmed, is a Ph.D. of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the University of Syracuse, USA. He was a medical researcher of the University of Michigan Medical School, professor of "The Recruitment Program of Global Young Professionals " by the Organization and Chief of Computational Medical Imaging Laboratory, Sun Yat-sen University. Shen Shuo, CEO of PVmed, is a Ph.D. in mathematics of Purdue University, an EMBA of China Europe International Business School, and co-founder of a company of medical big data service. He also served as the laboratory Chief of China Internet Network Information Center and the chief engineer of the National Internet of Things Data Service Platform.
